Shaji Kailash

Janaa was the last film that Shaji Kailash had directed in Tamil. It starred Ajith in the lead. The film bombed and since then Shaji had stayed away from Tamil. That was also the time when some of his films in Malayalam began to bomb at the box office.

With Chintamani Kola Case, the director is convinced that he is now back on track. Baba Kalyani is the name of his new film with superstar Mohanlal. He also intends to make a film with Tamil superstar Sharat Kumar in the lead.

The director says, "After Baba Kalyani, I have plans to produce and direct two new films in Malayalam. As soon as I complete these films, I intend to direct Sharat Kumar in a Tamil film. His production company has agreed to produce the film."

The film is most likely to begin after 2007 summer.
