Dileep demands his creative space

By Super Admin

One really has to appreciate Dileep for atleast honestly admitting the fact that he openly interferes in the directorial department of the films that he works in. "I don't see anything wrong in that," he says. It is due to all the interferences that I have managed to reach where I am now," he continues. "If I'm acting in a film, I have all the rights to know what is happening to it and how the story is progressing. If that is the definition of interfering, then I am interfering. I'm contended to work only with those who are ready to tolerate such interference. I don't go about pestering others to make films with me.

"If I was such a nuisance to work with, why would directors want to repeat me? No producer had ever lost any money because the film that I had interfered with had failed. Had that been the case, why would producers repeat me? When I work at outdoor locations, I'm very well aware that I work for the pleasure of the people who stand outside the frames and pass comments about me. I try to observe the good points that they mention and try to incorporate them in my films. To make this happen, I have to interfere in my films. I work only with those directors who are ready to give me this freedom," he ends.
