Films vanish after launch

We're going to take a look at some of the films that completely disappeared after their spectacular launches.

Janmam had Suresh Gopi, Karthika, Gopika and Samvritha Sunil in the lead roles. Joshi was the director of this film. They decided to bring Nayantara in for a special song sequence. But she walked out because she felt that she was insulted by the director and the crew. Then they brought Sadha in to star in the item number. That was the last time the film hit headlines. After that, it completely vanished. Suresh Gopi had completed a few more films. But nothing is known about this film.

Dileep's film was Fast Track (or was it Speed Track?). Gajala, the Kollywood/Tollywood actress was the heroine. This one makes regular headlines for its postponements. The director says that Dileep hasn't yet picked up a time for the film's release. Dileep is very busy with his other projects that he doesn't have time to reply to this one.

Chembattu is the name of the film that Lohitadas had launched with Meera Jasmine in the lead. There was something so inauspicious about the film's launch that everything had been going wrong for both the director and heroine from the day the film began. Her popularity in Tamil nosedived. The director landed into one controversy after the other.

Atleast the fate of this film is known. The producers have walked out of the film. It looks as if Chembattu will never happen now.

Jayaram had, a long time ago, starred in a film named Winter. Bhavana was his wife in the film. It has been more than a year now since that film was completed. The horror films still languishes in storage cans. Someday, it will hit the theatres. But, nobody knows when!
