Hollywood projects lined up for Santosh

National Award winning director, Santosh Sivan's Hollywood venture, Road to the Sky, will be released next year. The movie has been jointly produced by Echo Lake Productions of Los Angeles, Adirondack Pictures of New York and Sivan's productions company. The movie shot entirely in Kerala is a period film with an international star cast.

The movie revolves around a British planter (Linus Roache), who wants to build a road to the hills to commercially tap the produce of the High Ranges, mainly spices and is assisted by an Indian (Rahul Bose), who wants to be like the planter and live in his world.

Sivan is also working on a film on AIDS for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Sivan's first movie for BBC Films based on the Afghanistan war will also begin shooting next year. Sivan works as a producer and director for one of his favorite films, World According to Gopalakrishnan which will be made both in Malayalam and English. Sivan has already shot a few scenes in Japan, Africa and America and the rest of the movie will be shot in Palakkad in March next year.
