Innocent bags Sathyan Film Award

Innocent Vincent will receive this year"s Sathyan Film Award. A three-member jury headed by filmmaker K. Madhu chose the famous comedian actor for the award.

Born in Thrissur district of Kerala, Innocent has been famous for his amusing mannerisms and excellent dialogue delivery, especially in a typical Thrissur accent. Apart from acting in comical roles, he has excelled in serious roles as well. He has acted in several Malayalam films and a few Tamil and Hindi films. Some of his films include Gajakesariyogam, Ramjirao speaking, Mannar Mathai speaking and Kilukkam.

The Sathyan Film award was instituted in the memory of late actor Sathyan, and this year"s award would be presented on his 60th birth anniversary on November 9th.
