Lakshmi Rai, Mohanlal in Rock N Role

Stunning Belgaum actress Lakshmi Rai will act in a new Malayalam film Rock N Role. Ranjit will direct it. It will have superstar Mohanlal playing the male lead role. Her roles in the movie will be that of a musician i.e. singer. The director said that the movie will be a racy entertainer. Superstar Mohanlal has given nearly 60 day of his call sheet for the shooting of the film.

In appreciation of this gesture, the producer of the film has agreed to dole out 1.25 crores to the actor as his pay for acting in the film. He is the first actor in the Malayalam Film Industry to be paid in crores. His next competitor Mammotty gets a maximum of 50-70 lakhs a movie - and 40 lakhs for a Tamil movie.

Since the movie is a commercial entertainer, the director had in mind a hot actress who would expose when required. He felt that Belgaum actress Lakshmi Rai will fit the role. He offered her the role and she immediately agreed. She didn't even ask what the story was.

She later said, "Acting with Mohanlal is every actresses dream. I believe I am very lucky to get an opportunity to act with this great actor. This is my second Malayalam film so far - my first one being Pazhassi Raaja with Mammotty."
