Bollywood is notorious for its delays but Priyadarshan is made of sterner stuff. In spite of the notorious attitude problems that the stars are synonymous for, he has quietly completed shooting of the Hindi version of Manichitrathaaz. Bhool Bhulaiyaa is the name of the film.
This time, Bharathan's son Siddhartan joined him as an associate director. Siddharthan never was keen on becoming an actor. He always dreamt of being a director. But it was curiosity and an affectionate request from the director that made him switch to acting.
Director Priyadarshan has completed the shooting and the film stocks have now been shifted to Chennai for post-production works. Madhu Muttom, who had been fighting a bitter battle for recognition of his work, has succeeded in achieving his objective. He has been credited with the film's story. Screenplay is by Neeraj Vora. Vineeth's role had been increased in the Hindi version. Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja have played the lead roles.
