chief
guest
for
the
inaugural
function
of
the
38th
International
Film
Festival
of
India
(IFFI)
to
be
held
in
Goa
today.
The
inaugural
function
will
also
be
attended
by
Malayalam
superstar
Mammootty,
Meera
Jasmine,
Ramya
Krishnan
and
Lenin
Rajendran.
Celebrated
filmmaker
Buddhadeb
Dasgupta
will
be
the
chief
guest
of
the
closing
ceremony.
Ore
Kadal,
starring
Mammootty
and
Meera
Jasmine
in
the
lead,
will
be
the
opening
film
for
the
Indian
Panorama
section
of
the
IFFI
2007.
In
all,
21
feature
and
15
non-feature
films
have
been
shortlisted
for
the
Indian
Panorama
by
the
jury.
Of
the
twentyone
feature
films,
ten
features
films
are
from
the
South,
which
includes
Lenin
Rajendran"s
Rathri
Mazha
(Vineet
and
Meera
Jasmine),
Ranjith"s
Kaiyoppu
(Mamootty
and
Khushboo),
Babu
Thiruvalla"s
Thaniye
(Nedumudi
Venu
and
Laskhmi
Gopalaswamy)
and
Adoor
Gopalakrishnan's
Naalu
Pennungal.
