Mohanlal has a pocketful 2007

Mohanlal sure has started the year 2007 on a fabulous note- Asianet-Ujala awards committee had picked him as the best actor of the year 2006. Here is how the year 2007 looks for him.

Anwar Rasheed's Chota Mumbai is the superstar's first film of the year. The film's shooting is in progress at Ernakulam. Bhavana is the heroine. In another few weeks, his Sholay with director Ramgopal Varma will hit the theatres.

In the original Sholay directed by Ramesh Sippy, the dacoit cuts away the landlord's arms. But in Ramgopal Varma's remake, the villain, played by Amitabh Bachchan, cuts away Mohanlal's fingers!!!

Pardeshi and Aakashagopuram are ready to be released.

Mohanlal also has projects lined up with Refi Mecartin, Shaji Kailash and Sibi Malayil in the middle of the year.
