A film based on Munnar controversy

It is a well-known fact that most of our filmmakers find their inspiration not from English films but from the newspapers, especially the crime and politics sections. They waste no time in incorporating whatever they hear in their films.

So, when the police arrested bogus swamis, our filmmakers immediately had atleast half a dozen films with fraudulent holy men. When the police committed atrocities against the tribals in the state, it too was brought into quite a number of films. The most recent incident that has caught our filmmakers' attention is the demolition works that have started in and around Munnar.

Even as filmmakers are busy trying to include the scene in their films, a new film is now going to be launched that revolves mainly around the demolition activities. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out the hero of this film. Yes, it is actor Suresh Gopi. Munnar is the name of the film. This political thriller is going to be directed by one of Shaji Kailash's associates. Shooting will begin soon.
