Narain - Manju meet the media!

The recently married couple, actor Narain and Manju met the press at Chennai on Thursday evening. They got married on August 26th in Kerala, and will host a grand reception in Chennai on September 1st.

Narain said, "It is purely a love marriage but with the consent from both our parents." Manju said that she felt very proud about her husband being an actor. "I will be ever helpful in shaping his career even further" she said rather coyly.

Narain entered the film industry as an assistant to the renowned cameraman and director Rajeev Menon. He started his career as an actor with Adoor Gopalkrishnan's Nizhalkuthu and went on to do 4 the People and Classmates in Malayalam, with both becoming blockbusters.

Chithiram Pesuthadi is his first film in Tamil which has been a big hit of the year 2006. His acting in Nenjirukkum Varai won plaudits from movie critics. His latest release is Thankar's Pallikoodam, which is also doing good business at the box office. His Onam release has been Ore Kadal, an off-beat film starring Mammootty and Meera Jasmine, which was incidentally released on his wedding day all over Kerala and in Chennai.
