Old rivals clash again

For about two decades now, on every special occasion, films of Mammooty and Mohanlal are bound to clash head-on. But the good thing is- both these actors have such strong fan following that the films almost always end up making a decent profit at the box office. Only rarely do their films flop. Once in a while, other stars join the clash. With not even a month to go before Vishu arrives, the final list is fast getting ready. This time around, the clash is going to be among Mammooty, Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi and Dileep. Big B is Mammooty's film this time. Newcomer Amal Neerad had directed it. This time, Mammooty has two heroines- Manasa and Mamta Mohandas.

Mohanlal's new film is Anwar Rasheed's Chota Mumbai with Bhavana in the lead. The film had been making headlines regularly. Shakeela returns in a glamorous role in this action flick. Suresh Gopi's Vishu release is director Vinayan's Black Cat. Meena and Karthika are his heroines. This time, Suresh Gopi is playing the role of an underworld don with a bad problem of amnesia. Dileep has lots of hopes pinned on Sathyan Andhikaat's new film Vinodhayatra. This is especially true after his series of debacles at the box office. A few more films are expected to join the list. Rajinikanth's Shivaji might turn out to be a box-office wrecker for all these films.
