Dileep's last film, July 4, released on July 5, failed at the box office and he did not have any release for almost five months now. As such, Dileep had high expectations from his recently released Romeo.
Romeo, a slapstick entertainer directed by Rajasenan and scripted by Rafi Mecartin, had a good opening. Dileep plays a home male nurse and Vimala Raman, Samvrutha Sunil and Shruthi Lekshmy play the female leads. The release of the film, a week ahead of the other three big releases (Flash, Katha Parayumbol and Kangaroo), will help the movie to make good collections.
The latest buzz is that Dileep's already delayed venture Calcutta News, directed by Blessy, may also be released this month.
