Despite negative criticism by a section of the Malayalam media, Suresh Gopi's Nadiya Kollapetta Rathri has turned into a big hit in Kerala. The film has brought solace to the hero to after a long wait of two years.
Suresh Gopi, one of the superstars in Malayalam, had placed huge expectations on the movie. According to the box office reports, the film has collected nearly Rs. 1.25 crores in its first week.
The story of the film is somewhat different from the other CBI investigation type films of the director K.Madhu, and is the main reason behind the movie running to full audiences in most of the centers. Meanwhile, the Tamil and Telugu rights for the movie have also been sold out for a good rate.
Suresh Gopi's two more film will be released for Onam to compete with Mammooty and Mohanlal starrer big films.
