Baiju Kottarakkara apologises to Vijayan

By Staff

While the Federation of Malayalam Cine Technicians Association (MACTA) is heading for a split within the organisation as a result of recent controversies between actors, directors, technicians and producers in the industry, a man has come with a right approach that could well be a solution for all issues in the industry. That man is director Baiju Kottarakkara!

Baiju Kottarakkara, current treasurer of MACTA, withdrew his statement against East Coast Vijayan today and apologized for his mistake. Baiju, director of Kambolam (1994), Boxer (1995), Vamsam (1997), Kalapam (1998), James Bond (1999), earlier allegedly said that East Coast Vijayan, the noted album-maker and organizer, had claimed himself as the director of a film (Novel starring Jayaram and Sada) which was actually directed by assistant directors. He expressed regret over his statement and withdrew the same. Will this result in pouring oil on troubled waters? We sure hope so!
