Bodyguard: A Comedy Family Thriller!

By Staff

Ace director Siddique's Bodyguard, a much-celebrated Malayalam film starring South India's costliest actress Nayantara, Dileep and Tamil actor-director-producer-stunt master Thyagarajan (also spelt as Thiagarajan) in the lead roles, has started shooting in and around Kottayam. Based on a plot with plenty of comedy and action, the movie will be shot in approximately 50 days in Kottayam, Munnar Vagamon, and Muvatupuzha.

Another highlight of Bodyguard, penned by the director himself (apart from its lead lady Nayantara and Thyagarajan playing prominent roles in Malayalam after a long time), is that this is the first Siddique-directed film starring Dileep. It is learnt that Manju Warrier, one of the most-loved heroines of Malayalam films, is also making her re-entry with this film produced by Johny Sagarika.

Director Siddique said this script was with him for the last two years. "It is a typical fun movie with lots of emotion and moves like a thriller. The film is being packaged as a mass family entertainer like all my earlier films."

There are five songs tuned by Ousepachan. Lyrics are by Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, while Ananthakkuttan deals with cinematography. The release date has been fixed for Easter-Vishu on March 28, 2009.
