After
the
tremendous
success
of
'Malayalee',
a
music
album
that
won
Jeevan
TV's
Best
Music
Album
Award
and
the
Gulf
Malayalam
Music
Award
by
ADVA
(an
association
of
Keralites
in
West
Asia),
music
director
and
composer
Jakes
Bejoy
is
ready
to
launch
his
next
album,
'Born
In
Kerala'.
'Born
In
Kerala',
which
has
been
dedicated
to
all
those
who
are
born
in
Kerala
'God's
own
country'
will
be
released
on
August
23
by
Harris
Jayaraj
at
Hotel
Le
Meridien,
Kochi.
The
album
has
eight
songs.
Jakes
Bejoy
has
also
sung
a
song
in
this
album
after
his
successful
singing
stint
in
films
like
Flash,
Pachamarathanalil
and
Malayalee.
"Each
song
has
an
element
of
surprise
in
it.
For
instance,
the
title
track
named
'Born
in
Kerala'
has
a
bit
of
rap
sung
by
the
popular
Malaysian
singer
Yogi
B.," he
said.
The
themes
of
the
songs
revolve
around
love,
youthfulness
and
the
beauty
of
life.
Two
of
the
songs
have
been
made
into
videos.
Roma,
who
acted
in
the
song
sequence
of
'Minnalazhage'
in
'Malayalee',
is
paired
with
Ajmal
in
one
of
the
songs.
The
singers
are
Ranjith,
Sayanora,
Benny
Dayal,
Subiksha
and
Arjun.
Another
highlight
of
the
album
is
the
comedy
track
sung
by
Suraj
Venjarammoodu
in
his
typical
Thiruvananthapuram
slang.
Lyrics
are
by
Anil
Panachooraan
of
Arabikkatha
fame
and
Jalu
Jayaraj.
The
orchestra
is
set
by
Gopi
Sundar
(BIG
B
fame),
Aswin
Sivadas
(Lajjawathiye
fame),
Santhosh
Narayan,
Keeth
Peters
(both
from
A.R.
Rahman's
group)
and
Sumesh.
