Gopika,
known
for
her
dedication
and
uncomplicated
personality,
had
been
the
first
choice
among
filmmakers
for
the
last
couple
of
years,
whenever
there
was
a
character
of
a
nice,
homely
and
bubbly
girl.
During
her
career
that
lasted
six
years,
she
was
immensely
successful
with
a
string
of
hits
in
all
four
South
Indian
languages.
Now
Gopika
has
married
Dr.
Ajilesh,
who
practices
medicine
in
Ireland.
She
is
going
to
Ireland
with
her
husband
on
August
2nd
and
will
settle
down
there.
So,
it
seems
that
Gopika
will
not
act
again.
This
pretty
actress
had
never
been
ambitious
to
become
a
big
star,
and
was
always
happy
with
what
she
was.
But
still,
she
has
one
regret!
She
was
the
first
choice
by
producer
S.
Shankar
to
work
in
Kadhal
(2004)
directed
by
Balaji
Sakthivel.
But
she
had
problems
allotting
dates
to
Kadhal
because
she
had
already
committed
them
to
others.
She
had
no
choice
but
to
refuse.
Later
she
was
replaced
by
Sandya
who
won
the
Filmfare
award
for
the
best
South
actress
for
the
film.
"I
knew
instantly
when
I
read
the
script
that
it
was
going
to
be
a
sensational
hit.
The
script
was
wonderful.
Except
that,
I
have
no
other
regrets,
in
my
film
career," Gopika
said.
Gopika's
yet
to
be
released
movies
include
Jayaram's
Veruthe
Oru
Bharya,
AMMA's
Twenty:
20
and
a
dubbed
movie
Rajamudra.
Gopika
says
her
decision
to
make
a
come
back
to
the
film
industry
will
depend
on
her
husband.
But
for
the
time
being,
she
will
fly
off
to
Ireland
and
make
a
home
there.
All
the
best
Gopika!
