Ileana,
the
Israeli
actress
in
Swapnamalika
by
director
K.A.
Devarajan,
is
now
in
Varanasi,
the
Hindu
holy
place
also
known
as
Kasi
and
Benares
for
the
shooting
of
her
debut
film
in
Malayalam
with
Mohanlal.
She
is
completely
excited
about
this
movie
being
shot
at
the
Ramnagar
Palace
which
belongs
to
King
of
Kasi.
This
beautiful
palace
is
famous
for
its
architectural
beauty.
The
temperature
is
extremely
hot,
nearly
44
degrees,
but
the
actress
is
still
charged
up
and
enthusiastic.
Ileana
came
to
Mumbai
from
Tel
Aviv
to
work
as
a
model.
She
was
spotted
by
director
K.A.
Devarajan
and
signed
her
for
his
new
venture
and
underwent
a
crash
course
in
acting.
Now
this
Mohanlal
fan
plays
a
very
crucial
role
in
the
film
with
her
icon
Mohanlal.
She
was
surprised
by
Mohanlal's
down-to-earth
nature
and
said,
"I
could
not
believe
that
being
such
a
big
star,
he
was
eating
food
with
others
and
moving
around
with
unit
members."
This
is
the
second
time
that
Mohanlal
is
visiting
Kasi
for
shooting.
Earlier,
he
had
shot
here
for
Vanaprastham.
"One
has
to
get
the
call
of
Lord
Kasinathan
to
come
to
this
holy
city
and
this
is
the
second
time
that
I
have
been
called," says
Mohanlal
with
a
smile.
The
film,
produced
by
Karimbil
Films,
tells
the
story
of
renowned
Dr.
Appu
Nair
who
comes
from
the
US
to
New
Delhi
for
a
medical
conference.
On
the
train
he
meets
Radha
Karmel,
who
is
going
to
perform
the
last
rites
of
her
husband.
Appu
strikes
a
friendship
with
Radha
which
takes
him
on
a
journey
to
Kerala,
where
they
discover
new
facets
to
their
relationship.
