Jayasurya, our new postman

Jayasurya, one of the most promising young actors in the Malayalam film industry, will soon appear as a postman in a forthcoming movie named Postman. This humorous entertainer will mark the debut of twin directors Dileep and Deepesh in Malayalam. Postman will be a major release of Jayasurya in 2009. Camera is handled by Azhakappan, lyrics by Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma and music by Ilayaraja.

Meanwhile, the shooting of Jayasurya's other ongoing project Doctor-Patient, directed by Viswanathan, produced by M. Rama Prasad under the banner of A.R. Films has started; Jayasurya appears in the role of a psychiatrist for the first time in his career. Other cast members include Jagathy Sreekumar, Mala Aravindan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Biju Kuttan, Anoop Chandran, Jaffer Idukki, Kolapulli Leela and others. Doctor-Patient will release in January.

His other upcoming movies are Currency, Lollypop and Love in Singapore. In the Mammootty starrer Love in Singapore, he appears in a guest role. In Currency, directed by debutante Swathi Bhaskar, Jayasurya plays the role of a plain-looking person named Keshu working in a photostat shop married to a beautiful girl. Kalabhavan Mani, Mukesh and Meera Nandan are the other important characters in Currency.
