Katha Parayumbol breaking the record

Katha Parayumbol seems to be breaking the record for maximum remakes in different languages, due to Mammootty's cameo and Sreenivasan's poignant performance. The movie is once again in the news as it was selected for the State awards for the best among the popular films with artistic merit.

Katha Parayumbol is Lumiere films' debut production. This banner was set up by artists Mukesh and Sreenivasan. Director debutante M. Mohanan says, "I am ecstatic that the movie was selected as the best popular film. Not many directors have the luck with their first films that become such big hits."

Meanwhile, final discussions and shootings for the Tamil and Hindi remakes are on, while the original Katha Parayumbol is still going strong even after completing 110 days.
