The first schedule of Katha, Samvidhanam: Kunchacko by veteran Haridas Kesavan, who had earlier directed many films including Kannur, Indraprastham, Maaraatha Naadu and Kinnaripuzhayoram, will start at the locations of Kottayam and Pala during the first week of December.
Katha, Samvidhanam: Kunchacko is about a business magnate Kunchacko. Although illiterate, Kunchacko can speak seven languages including English. He is the owner of a private bank, medical college, multiplex supermarket and many other private institutions.
Born in a poor family, Kunchacko has a notorious background. He became a business magnate only through cruelty and shrewdness. His reputation is bad, even in his family circles. His brothers try their level best to make Kunchacko a polished man, but in vain. Finally, their parish priest advises them to persuade him to marry. Due to continuous pressure from his family, Kunchacko marries a software engineer (Meena). Whether Kunchacko changes after marriage constitutes the rest of the plot.
Scripted by ace Dennis Joseph, the film stars acclaimed actor, screenwriter and director Sreenivasan and Meena in the lead roles. Other cast members include Nedumudi Venu, Siddique, Jagathy, Salim Kumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Indrans, Suresh Krishna, Tony Augustin, Lakshmi Priya, Sona Nair and others.
Sajith Menon handles the camera while Tej Mervin will set music to lyrics penned by Gireesh Puthencherry. The script is handled by Dennis. Produced by Manoj Ram Singh under the banner of Marvel Productions, the film is expected to be released in January next year.
