awards,
announced
yesterday.
Mohan
Lal,
the
other
Superstar
of
the
industry,
was
selected
as
the
most
popular
actor
of
the
year
2007,
for
his
outstanding
performance
in
Chotta
Mumbai
and
Hello.
Sreenivasan's
Katha
Parayumbol
was
named
the
best
film
while
Sathyan
Anthikkaud
was
selected
as
best
director
for
his
excellent
work
in
Vinodhayaathara.
According
to
the
official
press
release
of
Malayala
Manorama
Group,
the
award
was
announced
following
a
poll
survey
attended
by
around
75,000
readers
of
Vanitha,
Malayala
Manorama
and
manoramaonline.com.
The
readers
selected
Mammootty
for
this
high
honour
for
his
performance
in
Big
B
and
Ore
Kadal.
Meera
Jasmine's
versatile
acting
in
Vinodayatra
and
Ore
Kadal
fetched
the
award
for
her.
