Meera Jasmine aims big

Meera Jasmine had a splendid year in 2007; her film Vinodyatra with Dileep in the lead was a hit. Shyam Prasad's Ore Kadal, starring her as an innocent housewife named Deepthi, bagged her several awards. The actress has now teamed up with Mammootty for Kutty Shankru, directed by Shaji N. Karun.

She has also signed a youth-centric film to be directed by Kamal which also stars Narain, Jayasurya, Indrajith, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy and Roma in the lead. One of the most sought-after actresses in the South Indian cinema today, Meera is presently shooting her new film being directed by Sathyan Anthikand, starring Mohanlal as a garment exporter.
