Gopalakrishna
Pillai
is

ordinary

who
lends
money
at
reasonable
rates.
It
should
be
a
welcome
change
for
movie-lovers,

continuously
rejecting
Mohanlal
films
in
which
he
plays
out-of-the-world
characters.
His
previous
film,
Innathe
Chinthavishayam,
which
had
a
decent
run
in
the
box
office
was
also
a
soft
emotional
film
directed
by
Sathyan
Anthikadu.
Kavya
Madhavan
is
acting
with
Mohanlal
for
the
first
time
in
Madambi.
She
plays
Vijayalakshmi,
manager
of
a
bank
which
opens
a
new
branch
in
the
village,
thereby
harming
the
business
of
Gopalakrishna
Pillai.
