Nayantara to face charges for obscenity

A poster of Aegan, in which actress Nayantara was allegedly shown excessively exposed, caused an order to be issued from the Additional Chief Magistrate court, Thiruvananthapuram. It is alleged that the posters of Aegan pasted on the walls in the streets of Thiruvananthapuram are without the seal of Corporation and they project obscenity.

A petition was filed against Nayantara and others at the Additional Chief Magistrate court, Thiruvananthapuram. On the basis of the petition, the court ordered a case to be registered against her for acting in vulgar scenes. Saji S. Mangalath of Ayngaran International is the first accused; Nayan is seventh in the list. Producer K. Karunamoorthi, Arun Pandian, K.Vijaya Kumar, director Raju Sundaram, Thiruvananthapuram Anjali theatre owner Sreedharan Pillai are the others accused in the case. The prime charges in the complaint are that the accused have made vulgar posters to get more profit, by which they have degraded the morality of the public.
