This could be the most sensational news for moviegoers in Kerala today. What news? Bombay Dreams, the proposed venture by director Padmakumar starring actor-script writer Anoop Menon in the lead, will have none other than South India's number one glamour queen Nayantara.
Bombay Dreams will be a re-entry of Nayantara into Malayalam after the much-appreciated Mammootty starrer Rappakal (2005) directed by Kamal. However, Nayantara recently made a comeo appearance in Malayalam in director Joshi's multi-starer Twenty:20. It is said that after winning just average acclaims with her last three Tamil films, Nayantara is now planning to be more active in Malayalam.
Nayantara's role in Bombay Dreams will be like those of Manasinakkare and Rappakal. Scripted by K. Gireesh Kumar, the film revolves around a married couple who are forced to stay together even after the are divorced. Manoj Pillai will handle the camera and shooting begins in January next year.
After Ajith starrer Aegan, Nayantara's next Tamil film is Paiya (boy), to be directed by Lingusamy with Karthi in the lead. Shooting will commence once Karthi completes Ayirathil Ouvan, directed by Selvaraghavan.
