Parthan Kanda Paralokam slumps at theatres

Jayaram
After Akku Akbar's Veruthe Oru Bharya, one of the brilliant mainstream crowd-pleasers of recent times, everything indicated that Jayaram has finally got a much-needed boost in his acting career after nearly five years...

In Parthan Kanda Paralokam, directed by Anil, Jayaram plays Parthasarathy, popularly called Parthan, who lives in Krishnapuram village. Parthan is constantly clashing with his uncle Falgunan Thampy (Jagathy Sreekumar), who is the Panchayath President. Falgunan is least bothered about the welfare of the people rather, he is more keen in grabbing the assets of the village temple, which has been locked for many years by the court over a dispute of ownership... Into this situation comes Falgunan's daughter Sathyabhama (Sreedevika), an advocate, who pretends to be in love with Parthan. However her intentions lead to the real climax of the movie.

The movie has failed to create a good impact on the audience.
