Malayalam
superstar
Mammootty,
who
has
recently
completed
the
shooting
of
Love
In
Singapore,
will
start
his
next
project
Pattanathil
Bhootham
next
week.
The
film's
photo
shoot
by
Jayaprakash
Paiyanoor
took
place
recently
in
Kochi.
The
film
is
directed
by
Johnny
Antony
of
CID
Moosa,
Kochi
Raajaavu
and
Thuruppugulaan
fame.
As
the
name
suggests,
Pattanathil
Bhootham
will
be
a
fantasy-filled
adventure,
aiming
at
kids
who
love
Superman
and
Spiderman
type
fantasy
comedy
heroes.
Mammootty
plays
the
role
of
Jimmy,
an
adventurous
bike
rider
who
gets
supernatural
powers
and
uses
them
to
fight
injustice
in
society.
Reports
say
that
Mammootty
will
attempt
some
daredevil
bike
racing
acts
in
this
film.
Kavya
Madhavan
has
appeared
in
six
films
with
Mammootty,
but
never
as
his
heroine.
For
the
first
time
in
her
career,
she
is
Mammootty's
heroine
in
Pattanathil
Bhootham,
which
will
most
probably
will
be
her
last
film
(since
she
is
likely
to
marry
in
March
2009
and
quit
acting).
Also
in
the
cast
are
Jagathy
Sreekumar,
Innocent,
Suraj
Venjaramoodu,
Salim
Kumar
and
others.
Scripted
by
Sibi
K.
Thomas
and
Udayakrishnan,
the
film
is
produced
by
Benjamin
under
the
banner
of
High
Bright
Movie
Makers.
Cinematography
is
by
Sanjeev
Shankar
and
art
by
Saloo
K.
George.
The
film
has
plenty
of
graphics
and
special
effects.
In
fact,
its
start
in
July
was
postponed
to
December
because
it
needed
a
lot
of
set
works
and
pre-production
activities
to
be
finished
for
its
special
effects.
Pattanathil
Bhootham
is
expected
to
hit
theatres
during
Vishu
in
2009.
After
Pattanathil
Bhootham,
Johny
Antony
will
team
up
with
scriptwriter
James
Albert
for
another
movie
with
12
newcomers
in
lead
roles.
Planned
for
a
Ramzan
2009
release,
this
movie
is
currently
in
the
initial
discussion
stage.
