Richa Pallod to be Mammootty's wife

Richa Pallod of Shahjahan fame has been chosen as Mammootty's heroine in Daddy Cool. Richa, a model turned actress, has acted in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films. Her films in Tamil include include Something Something ... Unakkum Enakkum, Uyirodu Uyiraga, Shahjahan and many more. She has also appeared in many ads and has featured in several music videos also.

Daddy Cool, to be directed by debutant director Aashiq Abu, is scheduled to start next year and tells the story of a cricket-loving father and son.

Richa started her acting career as a child artist in Lamhe (1991). Again she acted in Pardes (1997); after a gap of three years, she debuted in Telugu as heroine and won the Filmfare Telugu Award for Best Actress for her performance in Nuvve Kavali. From then on, she appeared on screen in all the South Indian languages at regular intervals. In Daddy Cool, Richa appears as Annie, wife of a Crime Branch officer (Mammootty).

Daddy Cool will be produced by Alwin Antony under the banner of Wall Green Productions. The film, which will start shooting by February 2009, is expected to be Mammootty"s midsummer release.
