After its stupendous success at 25 venues in the US, actress Shobana's music-dance fusion 'Maya Ravan 2008' with a cast of 50 artistes is all set to start its Indian tour on July 18, 2008. The play will be first staged at Music Academy Hall, Chennai. This is the second time the play is coming to the city.
Meanwhile, actor Kamal Hassan, one of the special invitees to the dance show, informed Shobana that he may not be able to attend the show as he would be flying down to Sweden on July 15th for a trip to fix locations for his next brainchild, Marmayogi.
Many eminent artistes like Revathi, Suhasini, Naseeruddin Shah and Tabu have rendered their voices to the characters in this play, which is dedicated to Shobana's aunts Lalitha, Padmini, and Ragini, popularly known as the Travancore sisters. The new version of Maya Ravan will have more Bollywood elements on stage.
