Sreesanth takes up Victory!

S. Sreesanth, the angry young man of cricket, who had received many offers from Hindi and Malayalam film-makers but did not take them up because of the long schedules, has signed Ajit Pal"s cricket-based film Victory, where he will be sharing screen space with actor Harman Baweja.

Harman is marking his debut as a hero opposite Priyanka Chopra in Love Story 2050, which is due for release in July 2008. The film will also feature other Indian cricketers like Ishant Sharma, Munaf Patel, Ashish Nehra, Manpreet Goni and Navjot Singh Siddhu. While the shoot date has not been finalized till now, it will most likely take place around June 15 in Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium.

However, S. Sreesanth said, "My whole focus is on cricket and all I want to do is to win more and more matches for the country. Acting and movies will happen some years down the line." He was reacting to the question whether he has been offered a film after his meeting with actor Aamir Khan at the finals of the IPL on Sunday in Mumbai.
