It seems Suresh Gopi wants to experiment with every character he portrays on the silver screen these days. From his usual investigative and political thrillers, he recently jumped into the unusual role of a roadside cobbler in Thaavalam, directed by newcomer Baiju 2D, without bothering much about the plausibility of the plot, the viability of the endeavour, or how this role would affect his star status. His performance was almost silent and had nothing new to offer to the viewers.
After his ineffective efforts in Thaavalam, Suresh Gopi is back again to his own genre of thrillers. This time, he is all set to act in the psycho thriller Violet, by journalist-tuned-director Sabareesh (a former assistant of Major Ravi), who is now busy with Mohanlal starrer Kurukshetra.
Navya Nair is the heroine of Violet which will also feature Lalu Alex, Bala, Arun, Santhosh Jogi and others in main roles. Script is written by the director himself. Camera is by Dileep and lyrics by Joshi Tharakan. Music is scored by Shamage Sreedhar. The movie will also include a poem by Karoor Sasi.
Meanwhile, Suresh Gopi's upcoming projects include Heylesa by director Thaha, who is famous for his out-an-out comedy movies like Mookkillarajyathu and Ee Parakkum Thalika. Heylesa is termed an action-based comedy thriller. Also in the cast are Jagathy Sreekumar, Cochin Haneefa, Sooraj Venjaranmoodu, Vijaya Raghavan and Salim Kumar.
