Bala gets engaged to Amritha Suresh

Tamil actor Bala who is slowly making inroads in the Malayalam film industry has decided to adopt the Kerala culture and its heritage as well through his fiancee, who is a Malayalee. Amritha Suresh, a contestant of the Idea Star Singer 2007, a reality show on Asianet, fell in love with the star during the event and now they have decided to enter into matrimony.

The engagement was recently solemnized in the traditional Tamil style in the presence of Swamy Pooramrithanandapuri at a function grace by relatives and close friends. Bala and Amritha are staunch devotees of Mata Amrithanandamayi.

The relationship has gone the lines of a typical romance. While Amritha had once stood patiently in a queue to get his autograph at a shooting location in Palakkad, the real relationship blossomed when Bala came as one of the judges for the Idea Star Singer show. Bala and Amritha have decided to get married with the consent of their parents in September 2010.
