Kunchacko
Boban,
the
young
romantic
Malayalam
hero
popularly
known
as
Chackochan,
recently
made
a
comeback
with
Shafi's
Christmas
release
Lollypop.
Sadly,
Lollypop
failed
to
meet
audience
expectations.
The
latest
news
is
that
he
will
star
in
the
upcoming
Gulumal.
According
to
sources,
Kunchacko
Boban,
grandson
of
legendary
film
producer
and
director
Kunchacko,
will
be
cast
for
the
first
time
in
a
mature
role
in
Gulumal
in
his
career
spanning
more
than
10
years.
This
film
also
has
Jayasurya
as
one
of
its
protagonists.
Also
in
the
cast
are
Jagathy,
Suraj
Venjaaramoodu,
Salimkumar,
Bijukuttan
and
others.
The
film
will
be
directed
by
ad
maker
V.K.
Prakash
and
scripted
by
Y.
Rajesh.
V.K.
Prakash
was
the
director
of
Moonnamathoral
(2006),
Police
(2005),
Freaky
Chakra
(2003)
and
Mullavalliyum
Thenmavum
(2003).
Anil
Panachooraan
has
penned
the
lyrics
and
Manu
Ramesh
has
scored
the
music.
It
has
been
learnt
that
Gulumal
will
also
mark
the
debut
of
lady
cinematographer
Fouzia
Fatima
in
Malayalam.
The
shooting
of
Gulumal
is
expected
to
begin
by
the
second
week
of
May.
