Popular
Malayalam-Tamil
actor
Narain
seems
to
be
exceptionally
careful
in
selecting
the
right
scripts
compared
to
any
other
South-based
actor.
After
a
roaring
success
in
Anjathey,
he
assessed
over
300
scripts
before
accepting
Pookada
Ravi,
directed
by
Shivakumar.
Narain's
Pookada
Ravi,
an
action-based
family
flick
being
produced
by
Sun
Pictures,
is
expected
to
hit
theatres
by
March
2009.
The
movie
is
basically
about
the
brother-sister
relationship
shared
between
the
hero
and
his
seven-year-old
sibling.
The
entire
talkie
portion
has
been
completed
in
and
around
Madurai.
(However,
Narain's
script
selection
sadly
went
wrong
in
2008,
when
his
only
Malayalam
film
of
the
year
Minnaminnikoottam,
directed
by
Kamal,
bombed
at
the
box
office.
Anyway,
Narain
hasn"t
given
up,
since
"to
err
is
human!")
Narain
has
now
signed
a
Sathyan
Anthikad
film
with
an
important
role
alongside
Jayaram
and
Kanihaa
(also
spelt
Kanika)
in
the
lead
roles.
The
director,
known
for
making
feel-good
family
stories,
has
already
started
the
shooting
of
this
untitled
film
at
Allapuzha
and
Kuttanad.
According
to
sources,
the
film
is
the
story
of
a
farmer
in
a
Christian
milieu.
Produced
by
M.M.
Hamza
under
the
banner
of
Kala
Sangham,
the
film
has
Mamukoya,
Innocent,
Nedumudi
Venu
and
K.P.A.C.
Lalitha
in
the
cast.
Venu
is
the
cameraman.
Maestro
Ilayaraja
will
set
tunes
for
the
movie
which
is
planned
to
hit
screens
on
May
1st.
