proved
itself
at
the
national
arena
at
the
55th
National
Film
Award.
Shyamaprasad"s
Ore
Kadal
has
walked
away
with
two
honours.
Shayamaprasad
minced
no
words
in
saying,
“This
is
my
hat
trick
national
award
for
the
best
regional
film.
I
am
very
happy
that
the
film
got
noticed." It
has
not
only
got
the
best
regional
film
award,
but
has
also
got
for
Ouseppachan,
award
for
the
best
music
director.
An
elated
Ouseppachan
said,
“I
never
expected
this
award.
So
when
I
came
to
know
about
it
I
was
really
shocked.
I
consider
this
as
a
very
big
honor
and
thank
my
producer
Vindyan
who
introduced
me
to
director
Shyamaprasad
for
Ore
Kadal.
The
songs
in
the
film
were
different
from
my
usual
style".
Celebrated
filmmaker
Adoor
Gopalakrishnan
has
bagged
the
best
director
award
for
his
movie
Naalu
Pennungal
and
remarked,
“I
am
very
happy
and
consider
this
award
for
a
new
attempt
in
Indian
cinema.
Naalu
Pennungal
has
four
different
stories
made
as
one
film."
Others
who
have
had
their
share
of
honour
were
Pattanam
Rasheed
for
the
best
make-up
in
the
Mohanlal
starrer
Paradesi
and
B
Ajith
for
editing
for
Naalu
Pennungal.
It
was
thanks
giving
time
for
Ajith
and
Pattanam
Rasheed.
Pattanam
Rasheed
said,
“It
was
not
easy
to
do
make
up
for
a
period
film
like
Paradesi.
But
I
have
to
thank
Lal
sir
who
encouraged
me
and
made
the
character
come
alive
on
screen."
Filmmaker
Priyadarshan
has
also
bagged
the
best
feature
film
award
for
his
classic
film
Kanchivaram,
which
has
also
gained
recognition
for
the
incredible
actor
Prakash
Raj,
through
the
best
actor
award.
