Whenever he reached his native place his relatives enquired why he was staying as a bachelor. As usual when Yakobi was returning back to Kambam after visiting his native place, a man asked for a free lift. While continuing their journey Yakobi came to know that his name was Muthu and that he was coming to attend an interview for a job in the dairy farm where Yakobi is working. But unfortunately they could not reach the farm within time. Yakobi some how made arrangements to get a temporary job for Muthu in the diary farm.
One day Yakobi met one of his old friends Baboottan. Yakobi invited him to his house and it is from there that the story turns. Kalabhavan Mani dons the role of Yakobi and Biju Menon as Baboottan. Diya Babu and Prakash Nath are debutants and dons the roles of Diya and Muthu. Lena dons the role of Saritha.
They are supported by Jagathy, Rajan P.Dev, Nedumudi Venu, Machan Varghese, Sona Nair and others. Under the banner of Swaraj films Ravi Banglore is producing the film. Biju Varkey and Suresh Kochamminy had penned the story. Biju Varkey has penned the dialogue. Ramalingam, a debutant is wielding the camera.
Orange directed by Biju Varkey is progressing at Marayoor. The story is about Yakobi who lost his parents in his childhood. He worked in a place called Kambam in a dairy farm. There he drived his own lorry on a contract basis. The name of his vehicles was orange. At Kambam he loved a girl, Saritha and married her. Neither his sisters nor his relatives knew about this marriage. Later Saritha gave birth to babygirl, Diya.
