Pazhassi Raja gets a 50% tax exemption

The makers of the Malayalam movie Pazhassi Raja had demanded for a hike in the ticket rate so as to recover the mighty production cost. They had asked for a 100 percent increase in the ticket rate. The movie which is releasing on October 16 features Mammootty in the title role along with Sarath Kumar, Padmapriya and Kanika.

The State Government has decided to give a tax exemption in the ticket fare for the Malayalam movie Pazhassi Raja. They have offered a 50% exemption in the tax rate. This has come in the wake of the producers demanding for a hike in the ticket rate and the government not conceding to the request. As luck would have it, now Mammootty fans and other ardent movie goers can watch the movie at a lesser rate.
