Prithviraj, chota Dada; Mammootty, bada Dada

The news has been doing the rounds that Prithviraj is to feature in the upcoming Malayaalm movie Pokkiri Raja as the younger brother of Mammootty. As the title suggests Mammootty and Prithviraj play two rowdy brothers who are the sons of an idealistic school teacher.

Akin to the old formula of the Hindi movies, one of them flees from his house and grows up to become a much awed Dada, while the other one who has been left behind at home turns out to be the local Dada. As fate would have it, years later they meet and are pitted against one another, unaware of the fact that they are brothers.

The story progresses along a different vein and apart from Mammootty and Prithviraj, the movie also has Nedumudi Venu, Thilakan, Siddique, Saikumar, Innocent, Sooraj Venjaranmoodu, Salimkumar and others in key roles. The film which is to commence shooting in January is being written and directed by debutant Vaisakh.
