Red Chillies to be remade in Tamil

Red Chillies by filmmaker Shaji Kailas with Mohanlal in the lead is to be remade in Tamil. Though the movie did not create much waves at the box office, it was known for its stylistic rendering. The movie revolved around the mysterious deaths of some girls who were working as Radio Jockeys. Mohanlal is the businessman, who runs that show. The movie then goes ahead to how Mohanlal tries to unravel the mystery and identify the real culprits.

Shaji Kailas had earlier remade his Sureshgopi starrer Chintamani Kola Case with RK in Tamil and the movie was much appreciated by the audiences there. Therefore if sources are to be believed, it is said that RK had called Shaji requesting him to consider his next project with him. Shaji instantly agreed and has decided to remake his Red Chillies in Tamil with RK essaying the role which was played by Mohanlal. The casting of the heroine is yet to be done.
