Unnaipol Oruvan has released amidst much applause and celebration as the two superstars of the South Indian film industry Mohanlal and Kamal Hassan give a smashing performance onscreen. However it is Mohanlal who has stolen the show completely for his restrained performance as cool police officer Raghava Maraar.
What has been spectacular is the standing ovation that he received in the Chennai multiplexes for his fabulous rendering. When Mohanlal delivers the key dialogue “Kerala is my home, but Tamil Nadu is my home too"or answers the onscreen Chief Minister that his chosen lord of worship is “Sree Krishnan of Ambalapuzha", the crowd went in frenzy and applauded every gesture of the actor with loud claps.
While Mohanlal has always acknowledged Mani Ratnam classic movie Iruvaras “one of my best ever film", on the other hand he has never hesitated in saying that Nasser"s Popcorn was indeed a “biggest mistake in his career." This is his third full length Tamil film and as per the trade pundits the movie is surely on its way to success. Venkatesh has essayed the role played by Mohanlal in the Telugu version.
