'Women in Malayalam Cinema' exhibition at IFFK

Veteran Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore inaugurated the 'Women in Malayalam Cinema' exhibition, which was held as part of the ongoing 14th IFFK at Ananthapuri. The exhibition includes gallery of as well as description of women on screen as well as behind the camera.

The exhibition honors actress right from Rosy of 1928, Sheela to Manju Warrier. The committee members opined that they have tried to include all possible actresses in the exhibition but that still have to give tribute to those who play very minor roles in in the industry and goes. Actress KPAC Lalitha, Navya Nair, Menaka, were seen in the exhibition and made their views that films with more women substance should come.

Beena Paul, director of the 14th edition of the IFFK, said that the exhibition would go around the country and the state, expanding with fresh elements in course of time.
