Kamal Hassan to be felicitated by Kerala Govt.

Kamal Hassan, one of the best and versatile actors of Indian cinema, would soon be felicitated by the Kerala Tourism department.

This felicitation would commence during the induction of the Onam week revelry that is to be held at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium on August 22. Apart from the state government, various associations from the Malayalam film industry will also felicitate the actor on his completion of 50 years in cinema.

The evening of celebrations would also feature a host of cultural programmes. The programmes would celebrate Kamal Hassan"s multi-lingual cinematic flexibility and the roles he has played in the films. He has been seen in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi movies. Eminent filmmaker T.K. Rajeev Kumar is taking care of the programme.

The event is likely to have six segments and would start with a salutation. A piece of music composed by musician Balabhaskar would be followed by a dance by Shobhana and a skit devoted to the cinematic trip of Kamal Hassan. The mammoth melodious show led by S.P. Balasubramanyam and a percussion company will be another nice segment at the event.
