Mookkilla Rajyathu 2 in the offing

As people remember, Mookkilla Rajyathu was one of the most rib-tickling movies of the 90s. Well, good news for the fans of the film, since a sequel to the movie is being planned.

The movie was directed by Thaha and featured Thilakan, Mukesh, Siddique, Jagathy Sreekumar. They all portrayed roles of mildly mentally disturbed people, who escape from a mental hospital collectively. The sequel would again be directed by Thaha and apart from Thilakan; the rest of the cast would be the same with some additions.

This time Suraj Venjaramoodu, Lal, and Jagadeesh join the earlier cast of Mukesh, Siddique and Jagathy Sreekumar. It is also said that a budding newcomer would be introduced as essaying the female main role. The shooting for the sequel should be starting in the month of August; however more details are needed for the confirmation of such news. So let"s just hope that the sequel lives up to the craze that its predecessor had created.
