Subair dies of cardiac arrest

Malayalam film-Television serial actor Subair, 48, died of a cardiac arrest at Medical Trust Hospital in Kochi yesterday (August 18) at around 9 p.m.

Subair was driving back home with his family after shopping. He drove the car to a nearby hospital following chest pain. From there he was shifted to Medical Trust Hospital and was put on a ventilator, but after some time doctors declared him dead.

He is survived by his wife Dilshad, son Aman and a baby girl, who is only 10 days old. A native of Chokli, Subair shifted to Kochi recently because of his work. He entered tinsel world through Bharatham and essayed various roles in over 150 films. Some of his films are The king, Commissioner, Pappayude Swantham Appus, Gaandharvam, Lelam, Bharatchandran IPS, Tiger, Palunku, Crime File and Raudram.

Mammootty, Manoj K.Jayan, Idavela Babu, Bala and many others from film fraternity reached the hospital to pay homage to the actor. Later his body was taken to his native Chokli.
