Best
Long
Documentary
award
at
the
4th
IDSFFK
in
Thiruvanthapuram
on
Thursday.
The
award
comprises
a
cash
prize
of
Rs
One
lakh
and
a
certificate
of
merit.
Award
for
the
best
camera
in
the
Documentry
section
is
given
to
Shahnad
Jalal,
the
cinematographer
of
A
Pestering
Journey.
Director
Kaveri's
Shilpa
Munikempana
bagged
the
Best
Short
Fiction
award,
while
Iram
Ghufran's
There
is
Something
in
the
Air
walked
away
with
the
Best
Short
Documentary
award.
In
the
short
fiction
section,
Barun
De
Joardar
won
the
best
camera
person
award
and
S
Someetharan
received
the
Special
Mention
for
directing
Mullaitivu
Saga
on
Sri
Lankan
fight.
Best
music
video
award
was
given
to
Anusha
Nanda
Kumar
for
her
video
'Sitha
Haran
aur
Anya
Kaaniyan'.
Documentaries
You
Dont
Belong
and
Vertical
City
also
got
Special
Mention.
Chief
minster
Oommen
Chandy
gave
away
the
prizes
and
certificate
to
the
winners.

Chairman
Priyadarsan,
Mayor
Adv.

Chandrika
and
jury
chairman
Syama
Prasad
were
also
present.
Speaking
on
the
occasion,
the
Minster
for
Forest
and
Film,
KB
Ganesh
Kumar
said,
“The
proposal
for
the
film
complex
on
Tagore
theatre
premises
will
be
submitted
to
the
Information
and
Broadcasting
ministry
on
22
of
this
month.
