Amitabh
Bachchan
has
recently
debuted
in
Malayalam
with
Mohanlal's
movie
Kandahar.
Although
the
film
failed
to
do
well
at
the
Box
Office,
the
Bollywood
actor
was
successful
in
impressing
the
Malayalam
audience
with
his
wonderful
performance.
During
its
shooting,
he
had
learned
a
few
Malayalam
words
to
address
a
native
speaker.
And
he
used
his
language
skills
to
begin
his
acceptance
speech
at
the
Asianet
Awards
function.
Talking
about
his
speech
at
the
event,
Big
B
tweeted,
"My
attempt
at
Malayali
on
the
mike.
Keralatiley
ella
malayalikalkum
ende
namaskaram."
(To
the
people
of
Kerala
and
the
Malayali
speaking,
namaskar!
My
respectful
greetings
with
folded
hands!)
However,
in
his
blog
on
Big
adda,
he
writes,
"I
have
always
admired
the
sense
of
discipline
in
the
South." Talking
about
the
stars,
he
writes,
"I
have
admired
their
management
qualities
and
the
reverence
they
show
to
fellow
artists
and
to
the
profession.
We
in
the
Western
parts
of
the
nation
still
have
a
long
way
to
go
before
we
can
match
up
to
them
in
this,
but
I
think
that
we
are
getting
there."
