Director
Rafi
Mecartin's
latest
Malayalam
movie
China
Town,
starring
Mohanlal,
Jayaram,
Dileep
and
Kavya
Madhavan
in
the
leads,
has
rocked
the
Kerala
Box
Office
for
a
couple
of
weeks.
Now,
the
movie
is
entertaining
the
overseas
audiences.
It
is
released
in
Australia,
New
Zealand,
Malaysia
and
Singapore
on
May
6.
Producer-cum-distributor
Nagan
Pillai,
who
has
already
released
several
hit
Malayalam
movies
in
foreign
countries,
has
bought
the
distribution
rights
of
China
Town
and
released
it
through
his
Nagan
Films
in
Australia,
New
Zealand,
Malaysia
and
Singapore
on
May
6.
He
says
that
there
is
a
lot
of
demand
for
Malayalam
films
in
these
countries.
Nagan
Pillai
says
that
he
has
released
the
movie
China
Town
to
cater
to
the
curiosity
of
overseas
audiences.
The
film
is
being
screened
in
four
shows
during
the
weekend
in
all
these
five
countries.
The
distributor
is
very
confident
that
the
multi-starrer
movie
is
sure
to
impress
the
foreign
audiences.
However,
China
Town
is
a
comedy
flick.
It
is
a
story
of
two
generations,
which
is
all
about
the
sons
of
three
friends,
who
were
parted
twenty
years
ago
are
joining
together
for
a
particular
aim.
The
movie
is
successful
in
winning
the
hearts
of
film
critics
and
movie
buffs
in
Kerala.
Now,
it
should
be
seen
whether
it
will
create
the
same
magic
in
overseas
too.
