Malayalam movie City of God, which stars actor Prithviraj and his brother Indrajith in the leads, could not hit the theatres on 9th March. According to sources, director Lijo Jose Pellissery's first film was slated to release on the last Friday, but could not make it to theatres due to financial problems.
City Of God is a remake of Portuguese movie City of God (Cidade de Deus). The film deals with the crime mafia in Koch. The highlight of the film is said to be Indrajith's performance. Rima Kalingal is playing heroine alongside Prithviraj and Indrajith in it, while Parvathy, Swetha and Priyanka are in the supporting roles.
However, City of God has now been postponed to 18th March. Sources claim that the movie will have to face tough battle from the film Christian Brothers, which is also slated to release on this Friday. Along with it, Prithviraj's home production Urumi is also said to be hitting the screens in the last week of March. Will the film bosses release the film on 18th or postpone it again?
